Hi! I’m glad you found me here! I’m Ruth, some people know me as Ruthie, I like both. I am combining my love for research and writing with my passion for imagination and dramatic endings. I specialise in writing fiction for children and teenagers but I love pushing the boat out and trying out new themes.
In this blog I am challenging myself to write regularly. Not all posts fit neatly into one category, but for many of them I am using the book ‘The Very Short Story Starter’ by John Gillard to challenge myself to write by sticking to starting prompts and strict the word limits, some of the other posts are just me sharing thoughts about things I love!
I am always excited to take on new projects with interesting story ideas. If you would like me to write something for your child, your business or your own personal project then please get in touch with me at storyjars@gmail.com. I always work within the suggestions that customers give, and would give you an idea of where we are going and then a quote before we begin.
When I’m not typing out a story idea (which is most of the time!) I can be found partying in the kitchen whilst cooking, tasting and comparing chocolate ganaches on chocolate fudge cakes and in another world I wish I could have grown up to be a chocolatier. My biggest hero (aside from St Paul, Moses, and all those Biblical ones) is Konnie Huq. Hmm what else? I still wish I could slide down the giraffe’s neck in 64 Zoo Lane after seeing that show as a kid. Did I mention I’m a sucker for a Hugh Grant movie especially if it happens to include Julia Roberts too. If you have anything in common leave a comment, send me a message or get in touch. Peace and Love be with you.
